  • Deux-Sèvres

    The Deux-Sèvres is named after the two rivers which run through it. The capital, Niort, sits on the banks of the Sèvres Niortaise and has everything cultural, culinary and practical you need from a city: shops, cafés, restaurants, festivals, TGV station and hospital. The Marais Poitevin, or the Green Venice, is a network of waterways where you can enjoy nature at its finest by foot, by bike or by boat. Picturesque towns, villages and hamlets offering weekly markets with local products is what makes the Deux-Sèvres a welcoming place to live.

  • Vienne

    Named after the river that passes through it, the Vienne holds many historical references and cultural themes. Poitiers is the capital of the Vienne, known for its typical French architecture and paved streets. In addition to being a photogenetic city, its offers great transport links with a TGV station and an international airport. On the edge of the city you will find Futuroscope, a futuristic family theme park.

  • Charente

    The Charente is named after the river that flows through it, giving the area its green valleys. The capital, Angoulême sitting high above the river and is known internationally as the city of comic books (Ville de la BD) and is easily accessible by train. The town of Cognac is celebrated for that wonderful alcoholic drink produced in the local vineyards of the Charente.

  • Charente-Maritime

    The Charente-Maritime has a wonderful coastline with many beautiful beaches offering watersports and great seafood. The capital is La Rochelle, a beautiful arcaded city with historical ports. The île de Ré, île d’Oléran and the île d’Aix which lie off the coast are gems to explore.
